Katarina Brett
My interest in photography was awakened at an early age when I learned the basics from my father, a passionate amateur nature photographer.
Even before that, I always had the desire to express myself and tell stories through drawings, paintings, and poems.
I graduated from ART High School as an art technician, but have remained largely self-taught in photography.
My serious dedication to photography began in 2017. as I explored a variety of subjects. From lifestyle, documentary, and theatre photography to portraiture and fine art photography.
It was only then that I discovered my voice in storytelling, self-portrait and conceptual photography. Which you can see in my Portfolio.
My self-portraits are mainly explorations of the self, the inner world that demands acceptance and expression. I have taken on the roles of the protagonists and have become all the vivid characters of my imagination.
Through my work, I transform personal stories, challenges, and fears into inspiration. Even though I love to emphasize the darkness in my art, it is always infused with a touch of hope and light.
